History of the Sea Tigers
The Sea Tigers Spearfishing Club was formed in
1959, making it the oldest dive club in Louisiana.
The only founding member of the club still active
is Mr. Val Roudolfich, Owner of Val's Diving
Service. Two other members joined in late 1959
that are still active, they are "Tiger Mitch"
Cancienne, and Jerry "Big Daddy" Bourgeois.
The club is still an active part of the spearfishing
community, and hold The Sea Tigers Garfish
Rodeo every February.
Anyone Interested in the Sea Tigers can come to
a club meeting. The meetings are generally held
every 2nd Thursday of the month. At:
